Kate is a registered nurse, educator, and writer who joined the Hope4Cancer Treatment Centers team in 2022. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2013 from the University of Toledo, Kate spent the next 10 years working in intensive care units across the United States. Working at prestigious institutions such as Stanford University Medical Center and the University of Washington, she also worked during the COVID-19 pandemic, traveling to and helping some of the hardest hit hospitals in the country.

Kate earned her CCRN certification in 2016, validating her knowledge of complex medical conditions and critically ill patients. After caring for thousands of patients, she came to believe strongly in patient advocacy and transparent, compassionate communication, ensuring patients and family members were empowered to make informed decisions about their care.

​​As a member of the R&D team at Hope4Cancer, Kate specializes in translating scientific and medical concepts in a simple and straightforward way. With a passion for education and a love for writing, she helps provide knowledge and hope to individuals struggling with cancer.
