Dr. Omar Castañeda earned his medical degree from the Autonomous University of Sinaloa in 2014, followed by a Master’s degree in Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology in 2017. During his postgraduate training, he worked as an attending physician caring for post-operative bariatric patients, where he developed a strong interest in integrative and alternative approaches to patient care.
From 2016 to 2017, Dr. Castañeda served as a professor for the nursing faculty at the Universidad Iberoamericana, while simultaneously participating in tuberculosis research initiatives. His work during this period also included collaboration within binational coordination groups, partnering with Mexico’s Department of Health (SSA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to address cross-border public health challenges.
Between 2019 and 2022, Dr. Castañeda completed a fellowship with the CDC at a quarantine station in San Diego, where he played an active role in developing and implementing public health protocols, including critical response measures during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2022, Dr. Castañeda joined Hope4Cancer, where he continues to expand his clinical expertise through innovative technologies and integrative treatment modalities. His background in epidemiology, public health, and patient-centered care allows him to bring a uniquely comprehensive perspective to integrative oncology and chronic disease management.
