From Unaware and Unsure…

By the time Rogelia received the news of her stage 3 breast cancer diagnosis, the cancer had unfortunately already metastasized to her lymph nodes. Though faced with what many would consider a shocking diagnosis, Rogelia recalls not being scared at all. Yet even still, she found herself going through the motions of a treatment path that didn’t resonate, citing a lack of awareness that other options existed and the surmounting pressure from her oncologist to act immediately.

“I was scheduled to put in a port and start chemotherapy medicine in April. But in March, I found myself at a clean desserts table at the Farmers Market, and started telling the owner my story. She reminded me that the doctors would want me to rush, but that cancer doesn’t just happen overnight. I had time to learn what I truly wanted.”

…To Research and Resonance

Thanks to her newfound friend’s timely reminder and a deep history of mindset work, Rogelia realized she was able to take a step back and take time to research her options. With the help of her daughter, she postponed her chemotherapy appointments and began watching videos online that explained integrative cancer treatment. Immediately, she felt a resonance within her and made her way to Hope4Cancer Treatment Centers in no time.

In our latest Patient Journey video, Rogelia sits down with our team to share the details of her journey to healing, how being a patient compares to the expectations she had before arriving, and what she overcame to get here.
