David’s Colorectal Cancer Journey

“It was way beyond anything I thought about,” he says.
At the turn of 2024, David, a 61-year-old from Texas, received news that changed everything. Following a colonoscopy and biopsy, he found out that he had Stage IIIC colorectal cancer.
At this stage, the cancer had already penetrated through the bowel wall and spread to multiple nearby lymph nodes. Although it had not yet reached distant organs, Stage IIIC disease reflected deep local invasion and extensive regional spread, often signaling that microscopic metastases might already be developing.

Because surgery was still an option, David proceeded with surgical resection as his first line of treatment. The operation successfully removed all visible evidence of cancer, leaving him with “No Evidence of Disease (N.E.D.)”—a term every patient longs to hear. Yet, knowing that Stage IIIC carries the highest risk of recurrence, often in metastatic form, David was determined to do everything he could to prevent that outcome.
After recovering from surgery, his oncologist recommended chemotherapy. But having cared for both his parents through two very different cancer types, David had already seen the toll conventional treatment could take.
“It was two years of chemotherapy, and they were miserable,” David recalls.
That experience made him pause and consider whether another approach might exist. Soon after, three different friends encouraged him to look into integrative cancer therapy, two specifically pointing to Hope4Cancer Treatment Centers.
Over three weeks, David received 15–20 supportive treatments daily, personalized across the 7 Key Principles of Cancer Therapy®, the foundation of Hope4Cancer’s approach.
“It was way beyond anything I thought about,” he says. “The healing environment, the people, the doctors — it wasn’t harsh or painful. Everything made sense. The nutrition, the detox, the therapies, the emotional support. I felt like I was healing, not just fighting.”
In July 2024, a follow-up MRI—six months after his diagnosis—confirmed that David’s decision to pursue integrative therapies was paying off exactly the way he had envisioned: there was no evidence of disease (N.E.D.), clear proof that his approach was working. Nearly a year later, in May 2025, a new MRI brought the same welcome news: David remained cancer-free, a powerful affirmation that his commitment to Hope4Cancer’s approach was continuing to bear fruit.
This milestone is especially significant given the statistics. Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States, with more than 148,000 new cases each year. According to the American Cancer Society, the 5-year survival rate for Stage III colorectal cancer is approximately 73%, which rapidly plummets to 14% when it advances to Stage IV.
These numbers highlight the value of catching colorectal cancer early and pursuing comprehensive care. But statistics are only part of the picture. A patient’s outcome also depends on factors like immune strength, nutrition, toxin load, and emotional health — the very foundations of long-term healing emphasized at Hope4Cancer.
At Hope4Cancer, we focus on getting to the root cause and transforming the internal terrain so the body is no longer a hospitable environment for cancer.
Today, David continues his healing journey with renewed faith, energy, and the lifestyle practices he learned in Cancun. He credits his recovery not just to the therapies, but to the way Hope4Cancer treated him as a whole person - spirit, mind, and body.
