Hope4Cancer Family,

In our desire to keep everyone up to speed on COVID-19 and our resolve to do our part to protect our patients, we want to bring you this news update.

Hope4Cancer Treatment Centers in Baja was inspected yesterday (March 26) by the COFEPRIS (Federal Commission for Protection against Sanitary Risks) to ensure that our protocols are aligned with the Mexican Health Department’s requirements for the prevention and control of the COVID-19 disease.

At the end of a thorough inspection, the COFEPRIS officials were beyond satisfied with our measures. In fact, the lead inspector used the phrase, “Felicidades, lo tienen todo!” meaning, “Congratulations, you have everything!” Passing this inspection verifies us to be in full compliance with all the latest requirements relevant to COVID-19 prevention and control.

Currently, we are screening prospective patients for possible COVID-19 infection through our admissions process prior to travel. This is followed by a thorough evaluation of each patient on their day of arrival at either of our centers. At our Baja center, which is a 24×7 inpatient facility, we have set aside a room dedicated for isolation should anyone show any typical COVID-19 symptoms while in our care.

Your care is our highest commitment.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us. We are here to help those fighting cancer find hope and healing in a safe, hopeful, and healthy environment.

Hope and healing in the midst of troubling times.

Hello Hope4Cancer family,

Today we are reaching out to update you on the latest information in regards to the Covid-19 pandemic, and the measures our team is taking to ensure patients can still safely access our treatment centers and receive the highest level of care amidst the changes that are occurring between governments, borders and health organization recommendations.

First and foremost, we want you to know that your safety is our highest concern. We also want you to know that both of our Mexican centers are fully operational at this time, assisting patients working through the 7 Key Principles of Cancer Therapy. Our home program staff and admissions teams are also available as usual.

The Border Is Open…and So Are We!
Many headlines are posting that the US is closing the border to Mexico. However, the key term to be aware of here is that the mandated closure is for all “non-essential travel”. Our Tijuana center is a hospital, and our employees come from both the US and local areas around the center. All of us, including our patients, meet the travel exemption thanks to the critical services that we offer.

Each new patient that arrives during this period of time will be provided a letter that will allow them to enter Mexico with our transportation team and return to the US for United States Citizens. Most international travelers can fly into either Tijuana or San Diego airports under this same exemption for essential services. We are here to serve our patients, and to this point, both the US and Mexico governments recognize that as a high priority too.

Please refer to your country’s government travel sites and your airlines for the most up-to-date travel restrictions.

At Our Centers

With patients’ safety being top of mind, our already meticulous cleaning protocols are now even more amplified. Our staff has been rigorously trained on how to avoid and prevent the spread of the disease, and additional measures have been put in place for the safety of our patients while they are with us. This includes safe social and eating habits outside of our (outpatient) center in Cancun, and as always in our Tijuana facility, we are working with the highest level of care for optimal nutrition, offering immune-boosting foods and a peaceful environment for healing.

A strong immune system is your best defense against any disease, and Hope4Cancer Treatment Centers is arguably one of the best places on the planet to receive the therapies, knowledge, and immune-boosting help to fight any disease, whether cancer or Covid-19.

Here is what we want you to know!

We are here for you. We know that cancer doesn’t stop just because a new virus is affecting the world. We want you to be safe, but we also want you to know that both of our treatment centers are open, ready to serve you and be a place where you can heal without fear.

Please feel free to ask us anything. Our team is available to you with all the latest updates about any travel questions or concerns.

Hello Hope4Cancer Community,

We are reaching out to you today with an important update regarding the COVID-19 pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, and the steps we are taking to ensure our cancer patients’ continued care and safety.

Hope4Cancer is and will remain open and accepting patients—both new and follow-up—at both the Baja and Cancun treatment centers in Mexico. Compared to most other affected countries, including the United States, the risk of COVID-19 remains remarkably low in Mexico, and is likely to remain so because of proactive action being taken by the Mexican government. Currently, there are no travel restrictions between Mexico and the USA. Mexico has also kept its borders open to most other countries as well.

We are keeping the health and safety of our patients as the top priority in all of our actions during this sensitive time.  We also know that cancer does not pause. To ensure that our patients receive the timely treatment they need and deserve, our counselors are standing by to assist our patients with up-to-date information and guidance to overcome any challenges (e.g. travel) posed by the evolving scenario.

Proactive steps we are taking to protect our patients:

  • We are closely following the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), and the Mexican Health Department (COFEPRIS) for daily updates and announcements.
  • We are monitoring all patients and staff for signs of respiratory illness unrelated to cancer. At this time, there are NO reported cases of COVID-19 in either of our treatment center locations in Mexico.
  • We have augmented our already meticulous sanitation protocols and are using hospital-grade disinfectants to thoroughly and frequently clean the treatment centers to the highest possible standards.
  • In the rare event that we have any patients from high-incidence countries such as China, Iran, South Korea, or Italy, we will ask them to provide us with the results of a COVID-19 screening test within one week prior to travel.

“It is about the person with the virus, not the virus in the person!” Empowering the immune system is the key to fighting not only cancer but also all kinds of infections, including COVID-19. Dr. Jimenez’s 7 Key Principles of Cancer Therapy provide our patients with unique combinations of treatments geared to support their immune system that start the moment they arrive at the treatment center. Our holistic approach ensures that our patients enter a protected and loving space, well-equipped to support the healing of their body, mind, and spirit.

Remember that fear of the unknown will always be your biggest enemy – so, get informed. If you have any questions or concerns about how COVID-19 may impact your treatment journey, please know that we are here for you. Contact our Admissions team below for assistance:

  1. In keeping with what I have learned here about cancer and considering the toll that flu and covid 19 takes in addition to cancer, encouraging common preventative measures could be effective. For daily self treatment; elderberry extract, turmeric (with piperine), several of the mushroom extracts, and cistanche are possible aids. Dont bother asking a doctor about these, you’ll get a blank look followed sometimes by “just stick to the prescribed meds.” I take two or three of these regularly and have not had even a cold for 15 years (pushing 80).
