|Full Spectrum Nutrition|
At Hope4Cancer Institute nutritional status and education is a keypoint. Long term research and clinical experience has shown that our alkaline oriented nutrition program provides strong support to the immune system. While we focus mainly on foods, we also keep in consideration that a body fighting cancer may be greatly deprived of specific nutrition for which we compensate through targeted supplementation.
Dr. Jimenez's program of "Full Spectrum Nutrition" outlines clear directions for an optimal cancer diet. The general concepts are clearly outlined: organic vegetarian diet, avoidance of meats in general, increased fiber intake, choosing fats wisely, preparing foods using healthy methods are aspects that are explained to you. The medical team also looks at each specific case and recommends changes on a need basis. For example, we take into consideration people who may have concurrent problems such as diabetes, cardiovascular conditions, allergies etc. Our After Care program also includes frequent communications with our patients that focus on nutrition. While generalized cancer diets can be found easily on the internet, it is crucial for you to know what is essential for you depending on where you are at in your journey to recovery.
Our program uses non-invasive devices such as the Zyto that assesses the patient's nutritional status and makes specific recommendations. We also on occasion recommend the ALCAT test to discover food sensitivities that may not be apparent on the outside, but may internally be causing rapid onset of chronic conditions like cancer or even aging in general. The ALCAT test groups different foods into safe and sensitive brackets of increasing severity (mild, moderate and severe). Removing foods that cause sensitivities temporarily results in relieving the immune system of the "overload" and restoration of normal function.
Hydration is also a key component of health restoration. Drinking alkaline water is recommended in most cases to ensure that we are progressively changing the acidic terrain in which cancer thrives.
